CityPetList is an online community bulletin board just for pets.
City Pet Guide is a resource directory, like a local phone book, except it’s just for pets. CityPetList is part of City Pet Guide.
Nada. Zilch. Zippo. Posting on CityPetList is absolutely free.
Easy. Click on a category that interests you and click “Post” on the upper right. Follow the easy steps.
Click on the post you want to reply to. Your email should automatically open to a new window. If it doesn’t, then compose an email like you normally would and copy and paste the recipient’s email from the website into your outgoing mail.
To edit your post go back to the email that you first used to publish your post. Click on the web address that’s in the email.
Make your changes then click on "Edit Ad.” The changes will kick in immediately. Make sure that you refresh your browser so that you see the changes online.
In the same place you write your post you can add one photo. Just click the "Choose File " button at the bottom of the posting form under "Add/Edit Image".
You will be able to review your ad, with the images, before submitting the post.
If you want certain words to appear in a darker font just add "<b>" and "</b>" on either side of the word or sentence. For example, this text would be bolded: <b>Hello!</b>
If you want to italicize a word, simply use the same format, but instead of a "b" use an "i", like this: <i> Hello! </i>
If you want your URL to be interactive, make sure too include the http:// in front of it. For example www.CityPetGuide will NOT link. You need to put http://www in front of the domain name, like this: http://www.CityPetGuide.com.
To delete your post go back to the email that you initially used to publish the post and click on the highlighted web address.
Click “Delete.” Then confirm, that yes, you want to delete the post.
Start over and post from the very beginning.
You’ll need to delete your ad and start over. But wait! First find your post online and copy and paste it into an email or jot down what you wrote (if you want to use the same one). Then delete your post and post from scratch.
If you published your post but don’t see it, don’t panic.
Keep in mind:
It takes up to 20 minutes for your post to appear after you’ve published it.
You will need to refresh your browser.
Make sure you are looking in the city and category where you posted!
If you still can’t find it, enter a keyword from your post into the search box.
Also… your post may have expired.
If your post violated the Rules it may have been removed by flagging.
If you agreed to the Rules and followed your steps and don’t see your posting, check to see:
If it’s in your spam folder or if you’ve exceeded your mailbox storage limit.
Some network problems can delay the email for hours. Check back later or re-submit your posting, then only confirm one of the emails.
If you feel a posting breaks the Rules, you may flag it for removal. To flag, just click “flag” on the page of the post.
If a post receives enough flags it will automatically be removed (only one flag per person is counted per post).
